Moved By Feelings Not By Situations, Part 4

Good morning,

Mark 9:14-29,”…But if You can do anything, have compassion on us and help us”

To conclude, let’s see the man’s faith and Jesus power did.

Mark 9:25, “… He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to it, “Deaf and dumb spirit, I command you to come out of him and enter him no more!. There are some things you can ask to leave but anything that is terrorizing you and I have to be commanded to leave. The enemy cannot be begged to leave, he has to be commanded. Jesus rebuked and commanded now rebuke is to turn back or keep down which makes me believe we got to send back the enemy’s package delivered. We got to tell him he delivered the package to the wrong guy, we got to command him which means use some force to send back all the bitterness, offences, jealousy, pride, arrogance and all the junk that comes from him. Print a label on the package, “RETURN TO SENDER”, Don’t hold on to a package that will explode on your face. Jesus is sending the package of deaf and dumb spirit back to where they came from. Watch this in vs. 26, “Then the spirit cried out, convulsed him greatly, and came out of him”, the command was so strong that all the junk began to terrorize the young boy for the last time as they gathered all their belongings to leave. There are some things that don’t leave without a fight, the bible says in 2Corinthians 10:4, “the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds”. The things that were in this boy were strong holds. See no word shall return void that proceeds from the mouth of Lord. Jesus had spoken, the unclean spirits had no choice but to leave and the young boy had no choice but to be free.

“And when the unclean spirits left, he became as one dead and so many said, “he is dead”, I thought Jesus did it? how come the child looks dead, the people around him have already passed the judgment that he is dead, I don’t know what the father of the child might have felt at that moment for as long as he was being terrorized at least he was a live now he is dead? Hold on! Phil 1:6, “Be confident in this very thing, that He which hath began a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ”. What people thought and what looked like did not intimidate Jesus. He might have been the only one with a different look at things yet he was not moved by what people thought. He knew that what He had started, He was able to complete it. Do not be intimidated when you have believed God for something and it looks like it’s not going as desired and everyone around you is telling you not to believe in the Jesus stuff.  Linger longer, watch again, the process is not complete, something to ponder on, When did you ever hear that Jesus FAILED?

Mark 9:27, “but Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose”, AMEN, AMEN. Is the Lord wonderful or what? He did not touch this boy from the beginning, even at the time of rebuking the spirit. But when everyone thought he was dead, He reached out and took him by the hands and lifted him up. His complete restoration came as a result of Him touching him and raising him. Isn’t it amazing to see that the Lord is out to raise His people and not leave them down, how about His touch, He is not just interested in speaking victories our lives, He is also interested in touching us, raising us up.

I got to stop for this is just too good, a father’s son is restored, his faith is boosted even more, his son is healed, has a sound mind and the best thing that could ever happen to both is encountering with the Savior and the Lord. In conclusion, if Jesus was not moved by your past situation and the present condition of this boy, and then He was not intimidated by the request of the father when the disciples could not do it and finally He is not intimidated by the comments from the crowd saying that the child is dead, why not begin to trust Him with your past, present and future for He is the same yesterday, today and forever more He changes. He is moved by your feelings and not intimidated by your situations.

Thanks
Evans
